Our first snake story!

My greatest fear came to life the other night as a stood on the chair taking this picture of a 2 foot coral snake in our neighbor's house. Our door is right next to theirs but fortunately for us our screen door shuts tighter! This snake is probably quite poisonous although its small and not real aggressive. I thought missionaries rarely see snakes? Hopefully this is the last one for a while!

Lovely! My first snake story came just a few weeks ago as well. Five ladies drove to the village to celebrate Debi's birthday with her. On returning home, we were unloading the car and a snake was mixed in with our luggage! (just a little guy, but I heard they can be the most venomous) Anyway, a security guard eventually came to our rescue...after we demanded that Kris get out of the back of the truck (can you believe she wanted to be in the truck with it still pulling out the luggage!) The people said it was a viper, but we haven't confirmed it because sometimes there is just a general name for all snakes that look similar to that, but it very well could have been! So...there you have it. I've been in Moz. four years and that was my first live snake. May neither one of us ever see one again!!!
